Hello 32! And feeling every bit of it after our trip last week. Sharing a few tips if you’re thinking about doing a trip to Lake Como below -Best time to visit after talking to locals is early September. It gets SOOO crowded and EXPENSIVE in the summer months, you can do spring like us (end of April, early may) but its more of a gamble, it was really chilly when we were there -Best way to get to lake como is fly into Milan, train to Varenna, and ferry to the other towns -DO NOT stay in Como San Giovanni city, it’s actually a really far ferry ride from the part of como you want to be. I think the best place to stay is Varenna (the cutest city IMO, all the pics in this post are Varenna). It’s a short ferry ride to Bellagio, Menaggio and Tremezzo AND you can get there via train -You can do a day trip from Milan, just train into Varenna EARLY and take the ferry from there to Bellagio. But I’d say ideally stay least stay 1-2 night in Varenna Ps. Dress is a reformation look alike for 1/3 of the price and I’m obsessed.
