In this post, I’ll share our trip itinerary, highlights and also a comparison to Aspen since I was asked that a few times on my Instagram stories. While we didn’t get the gorgeous mountain scenery on the drive, it was the right move to get the kids tired for bed and let them sleep in the next day. Two friends in our party stayed downtown and a shuttle provided transportation to and from the mountain, so if you want be close to all the good restaurants, bars, and town center, that’s something to consider. While at Aspen, there is no ski school at Aspen mountain, so you need to take a shuttle to Buttermilk for example.

If you’re ready for it all, I’m sharing a few of my favorite summer styles. From maxi dresses to easy breezy looks, summer time is all about a comfortable dress. I usually have to pick up a few sandals as I’ll wear a pair I love into the ground. In my younger years, I would seriously click on any headline that divulged all the trends and hot colors of the upcoming season. I would have fun picking out colors that would look like I knew what was fashionable – oxblood, gen z yellow, jewel tones! I mean,  4 different black sweaters that I will wear for years will win any day over a chartreuse one. But I also have some basic black tees from amazon that would look great as well.

If you’re new around here, I’m a fitness instructor and teach class at a studio in Alexandria, Virginia on Wednesday mornings and a few times on the weekend. Since not everyone can get to my classes, I do a quick mini reel and share 3-4 moves on Instagram – like this ball exercise. We’re headed to Jackson Hole, Wyoming for an end of the season ski trip, will most likely make some shamrock cookies as a fun St. Patrick’s Day activity with the kids, and get some Spring styles going!

As I’m writing this, these new systems have been in place for a few weeks now, so I can also add some real life perspective to it all. Basically, I needed to get the holiday storage area in a good place My approach to what to put in what and where was this: what the kids mainly eat and grab go in clear, back stock and pantry staples in other baskets. Did I mention that these home organization projects were kicked off from a mini binge of The Home Edit on Netflix.

While I can’t help with all the winter complaints, I can offer some advice on keeping your skin healthy during this time. Slather on a hyaluronic rich night cream and add a super powered serum to get your skin looking and feeling healthy. Try adding foods like sweet potatoes, salmon, nuts, leafy greens and olive oil to your meals. Maybe you’ve shied away from applying oil in the past, but now when the air is super dry and you’re indoors, why not give it a try!

But I love the idea that spreading love and focusing on the things you love is what Valentine’s Day should really be about. ’s goals post that I wanted to do more of the things I love, so here are some of the items I’ll be focusing on. I just finished OUAI hair care founder, Jen Atkin’s book and loved. I hope this Valentine’s Day you are surrounded by all the things you love.

While we didn’t plan on this, we made the call to leave DC and headed to the PA mountains where the kids really tuned the page with skiing. I know for many of us January is all about dusting off those health + wellness goals and starting the year on a fitness kick. You’ll hear fun music, see me dance along through a hard glute series, and enjoy my workout. Keeping a journal to set goals and track progress is a great way to stay motivated.
