Whenever I tell people some of the amazing deals I’ve found while thrifting they always ask how I did it, so I thought I’d write a blog post for you guys on how I thrift and find great deals so you guys can do the same! TIME IS KEY-Thrifting is a perfect weekend activity that requires several dedicated hours to do, so make sure you give yourself enough time to find good things! , YES GIRL-You can’t go into the thrift store expecting to find a certain thing, you have to let the thrift store show you what you need!

As I started thinking about and researching the environmental repercussions of both, I realized that they are very differing products, but one may offer a significant environmental advantage. Contacts can be convenient and use a relatively small amount of plastic, but require plastic with packaging, saline solution, and most need a new set of contacts anywhere from every day to every month. As every day contacts have become more common, that means more waste since they’re being disposed of every day versus once a month. As the temperature starts to drop and it gets colder, I feel the dark emptiness wrap itself around me and pull me into the dark hole that always seems to be waiting for me to crawl back in. That dark hole exists and every time i feel it coming on, it scares me. It’s honestly a feeling I can’t explain but makes me feel anxious, heavy in my chest, my hands get a burning tingling sensation and I compensate it all by scratching the skin off my legs. The things that I have noticed that help me get through is definitely spending time with my family, and making a routine of working out every day, going to bed early, and honestly by surrounding myself around my friends as much as possible.
