A lot of people think they need to run fast to be a runner. I love Marathon Sports in the Boston area because they watch you run in each pair of shoe and help you find what might work best for you. When I joined the Cambridge Running Club it was great because they have a membership leader who is typically there for your first club and will introduce you to members who run similar paces. Some run clubs will have a leader who will run with the slowest person no matter how slow to make sure no one is alone.

I started wearing a water belt when I trained for my first marathon because I was training in the suburbs and there weren’t many water fountains along my routes. I decided to wear my water belt in my first marathon even though there were water stops because I liked to take small sips of water whenever I wanted versus depending on the water stops

Since I take really good care of them, I could go 4-5 weeks without fills which meant that my natural lashes grow out and the end of the lash extension is further out from my eye, creating a larger weight load on my lash. Dave shot me a reality bullet after I posted on International Women’s Day about being comfortable in my body and questioned me about my lash extensions. Although I absolutely LOVE my lash extensions, I might take a longer break and just get the extensions for special occasions. Not that I did a lot for makeup in general, I didn’t wear any makeup when I had my lash extensions!

Dave and I headed out to Gloucester April 8th for the Fools Dual half marathon. It’s called the Fools Dual because you can run a 5k then the half marathon if you want

Our race didn’t start until 10 am but I would rather be there and hang out than get there late racing to the start line. * 1 honeystinger vanilla gel (I didn’t eat it all at once but a little bit every so often I wasn’t really feeling nervous for the race the week leading up to the race, but all of a sudden while we were on our way to the race and waiting before The Fools Dual was not a priority race for me–the big goal is Chicago which is pretty flat. I didn’t quit my running coach because I didn’t do better at this race than my previous races.
