Highlights
  • Gallery Stroll & Art on Canyon Road, Santa Fe

Santa Fe is famous for its museums  — New Mexico Museum of Art, Museum of International Folk Art, IAIA Museum of Contemporary Native Arts (MoCNA is the country only museum for contemporary Native artists), New Mexico History Museum at the historic Palace of the Governors, and my favorite, the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum (which houses more than 3,000 her works) located behind the Eldorado Hotel. Canyon Road is truly a feast for the eyes: Many of the galleries on Canyon Street are housed in historic adobe buildings with brilliantly colored windows, and public art installations are often showcased outside. The best way to experience this art district is simply by strolling down Canyon Road to admire all the public art Santa Fe is an excellent place for art lovers to spend a weekend enjoying the many museums, galleries, and art experiences.

  • Madeira: Best things to do & a special Spring Flower Festival

Madeira Island is World’s and Europe’s Leading Island Destination 2020 according to World Travel Awards. It has been on my travel wishlist for some time, so here is a complete guide to the best things to do, see and eat in Maderia, Portugal including popular well known attractions, hidden gems, and the best place to see flowers. Fajã da Rocha do Navio in Santana, Fajã dos Padres or Fajã da Quebrada Nova in Achadas da Cruz – three different secluded areas located by the ocean, which are very hard to reach as they are located on the bottom of very high cliffs. During this week’s long event, there are daily concerts, dance performances, flower exhibitions and all sorts of flower-related attractions, flower markets selling flower bulbs, exotic fruit and even street carpets made of flower petals.

  • 11 Best Wine Regions in France

Starting in the East by the German border, we have the Alsace/Lorraine Region, known for its exceptional white wine cépage, they produce great Riesling & Gewurztraminer wines. Stuck between the Pyrenees mountain range and the Bordeaux region up North, the South West Region is the land of the cabernets wines. Last but not least the largest wine region of France, the Loire Valley, also known as the other Champagne region due to its ever-improving production of quality bubbly from Chardonnay cépage. Contrast pairing: pick a wine which aromas will pair with your food, sweet and salty, tannic and spicy (as in spices), sweet and spicy (as in hot) Overall, the wine regions of France are undoubtedly some of the best and most famous in the world.

  • One day in Nara Park: Ancient Temples & Sacred Deer that bow for biscuits

The ancient city of Nara is known for its beautiful temples, the 15m-high Bronze Buddha statue, and sacred deer that bow for biscuits. But the deer at Nara Park are still protected and the Nara Park deer are designated as national treasures. Nara Park is beautiful year-round (we visited in December), but especially beautiful in Spring when cherry blossoms are blooming. A History Lovers Guide To St Augustine Florida

The Collector Inn is a boutique hotel consisting of several historic buildings located on a historic site. Located prominently on the shores of Matanzas Bay, Castillo de San Marcos is the oldest masonry fort in the continental United States. Built as a Spanish fort in 1742 to guard the river inlet, Fort Matanzas is much smaller than Castillo de San Marcos but was just as important. Located across the street from Flagler College is the Lightner Museum which also started life as a hotel built by Henry Flagler.

  • Why you should spend more than One Day in Granada, Spain

When you enter and pass the Puerta de las Granadas (Gate of Pomegranates) a whole medieval world comes in view in front of your eyes – the Plaza de Nazaríes (The Royal Complex) or Nasrid Palaces, the fortified and military area of Alcazaba and the Generalife gardens, each packed with many astounding monuments. Located in the Albaicín neighborhood, less than a mile north of the Paseo de los Tristes, Plaza de San Nicolas directly faces the Alhambra and the majestic Sierra Nevada Mountain range that sits right behind it. The Sierra Nevada Mountains are part of Sierra Nevada National Park, the largest national park in Spain. We got to watch the sunset over Alhambra (which was on the top of my wishlist), we visited Alhambra, enjoyed and a couple of authentic meals

  • An Inside Look at Yves Saint Laurent's Majorelle Garden & Museum in Marrakech

The Majorelle Garden is a two and half acre botanical garden filled with palms and exotic plans, vivid splashes of blue and yellow, a true artist’s landscape garden in Marrakech, Morocco. Inside the Villa Oasis, you can see Yves Saint Laurent’s unshared and private collection of books, paintings and works of art, along with the vibrant and intimate décor. After the house tour, we were escorted to a private terrace at the Majorelle Garden, a glamorous place surrounded by rare plants and the iconic blues and yellows that have become synonymous with Yves Saint Laurent’s time in Marrakech. This awe-inspiring museum exhibits a significant part of the Fondation Pierre Bergé-Yves Saint Laurent’s collection and is a legacy to Marrakech, a city that held such a crucial place in Yves Saint Laurent’s life.
