If you’ve been keeping up with me on Instagram, in the few posts I’ve managed to put out lately, I’ve been speaking a lot lately about being burned out, overwhelmed, and just over all blah. I’ve gotten to do so many amazing things from my summer bucketlist, I’ve gotten to spend so much time with family and friends, and I’ve gotten the opportunity to experience so many brand new adventures. I’ve completed a whole rebrand this summer, I’ve made the best of friends within the blogging community, and I’ve learned so many invaluable things, and I’m still learning. So, I can’t exactly promise I’ll be back in full force, like, right now, because as summer comes to an end, I’ve got lots of personal things planned (like a trip with Jake’s fam to visit NoLa! ), but boy do I promise you that this upcoming school year will yield great things!

, then I found out literally last week that Jake’s company was taking us on a company cruise, and my bestie from college was coming to visit! I met up with Amanda and her friends over at Navy Pier, then we made our way over to the John Hancock building to enjoy the views of beautiful Chicago from 94 stories high. A day in the city with Nicole would not be complete without rushing to catch a train, but Amanda and I made it in time to get back to Naperville and get Cookie Dough Creations and admire the beautiful downtown houses. With that being said, I’m gonna be a busy little bee these next few weeks, but I’m going to be very sure to continue to find the happiness in each of life’s blessings.

I think it’s because I know that time is of the essence in summer. If I’m waiting all dang year for one simple season, you better believe I’m going to make it memorable. In a perfect world, summer wouldn’t come with beach bod worries, sun burns, mosquito bites, and sweat. ASOS offers free returns on all of their merchandise, so I usually order a few sizes and return the ones that don’t fit for completely free!

Don’t you worry, it’s still same old me behind the content, but with a whole new face lift! I don’t like to pinpoint my specific writing topic exactly because, well, if you’ve been following along, there isn’t really one. I remember so specifically coming home to my mom in tears begging her to let me dye my hair, which of course she wouldn’t let me do. ’s back in the seventh grade (sorry Mom, good thing it didn’t stick! ! )
