We had a wonderful time sailing with @sailingangels a couple weekends ago! L said this was “the best day ever!” 💕 We even had the amazing experience of being surrounded by 20-25 dolphins for close to an hour! (Scroll to see video.) S finally volunteered to answer a couple questions at the dolphin show at the aquarium! She is normally super outgoing but has been kind of shy about going up in front of a crowd. 😊 I’m so proud of her for going up there but hate that I had to miss it! I had just gone back indoors with L who had had enough of all the rain, wet seats and splashing. 😕 My cousin got this shot of her though! And S got a little Whataburger coupon for going up front. Happy 11th Birthday C! 🎉 We love you so much!! The years have flown by. I can’t believe how fast he’s growing up! C is going into 5th grade, he loves to read, watch Dude Perfect and a bunch of other weird shows ha! He loves baseball, the ocean, boogie boarding, bike riding, camping, his hover board and all kinds of fun things!! Happy Sunday from this crew!! (Excuse the weird shadows) Hope everyone has had a great weekend! I’m pretty sure we’ll officially get started back on a good homeschool schedule tomorrow! They kids’ extra activities are starting up in the next few weeks or so, so now seems like a good time to get back into a routine. As much as I hate the idea of summer coming to an end it is always nice to get back to a good schedule. When do your kids start back to school or when do you plan to start up your homeschool year?

Such a sweet throw back to late summer 2015. The older three were 6, 5 and about 19 months old. This was several weeks before L was born. I miss the kids being so little! And weren’t they adorable?!

Does it ever just hit you how much you have to be grateful for and how blessed you really are? I often forget in the chaos of every day life with kids arguing, chores, laundry, clutter, migraines, anxiety and the busy-ness of life but then it hits me just how blessed I really am. Many of the blessings I have now are things I used to pray for. It’s good to slow down and be thankful for what we have.

I have lots of new followers around here so I thought I should reintroduce my family! It pains me to post a fall picture in the middle of summer but it’s one of our more recent family photos. I wish every summer could last forever!! My husband and I have four kids, ages 5-12. I started homeschooling last fall and hope to continue through the rest of my kids’ school years. We’re native Texans who lived in North Carolina for three and a half years before deciding to move back to Texas last December. The last year or so has been a total whirlwind for us with lots of decisions and reevaluations on where to live.. along with the general craziness of 2020! Once we moved back to Texas we ultimately decided to take advantage of the opportunity we have to move around right now and decided to spend a year (or more!) on the Texas Gulf Coast! We’re loving life just minutes away from a Padre Island National Seashore, Port Aransas and several other beautiful beaches!!

We got to see baby sea turtles released this morning! These little guys were so cute and tiny!! I’m so glad we were able to be there. These first few pics crack me up! The little girls were so excited to review this kids’ real make-up kit! They have had so much fun with it! They kept running up to me and asking if I could tell they had blush on 😅. Then they said they were practicing putting on make-up for church the next morning haha!! So funny!
