Good bye La Paz! When we planned our trip to Baja we never thought we’d spend more than 3 days in La Paz.. And here we are two months later after arriving in La Paz the week before Christmas. We don’t normally do “bucket lists” but swimming with whale sharks has been something we’ve wanted to do for a very long time. We can now check it off! If you are ever in Baja, this is a must do especially in La Paz! And if swimming with whale sharks is on your bucket list and you’re not sure where to go to do it, I suggest La Paz. Life on the road isn't always sunshine, rainbows and waking up on a beach. Sometimes you windup spending the night in a dirty, rundown mechanic shop yard the day before your wedding anniversary! ⁣ But with all of the good comes the inevitable bad, and well, we learn to roll with the punches! ⁣ One of the many great things about Mexico is it’s easy to find a competent mechanic/welder anywhere and the labor is super cheap. The dirt roads of Baja have taken their toll on our poor old truck Rocket and we had to spend some money and time on fixing up the suspension. Reason #3 why we LOVE our iROCKER SUP: Lightweight. ⁣ We are a mixed lot in size. Chris is 6’4” and 225 lbs. Lindsay is 5’1” and 115 lbs. ⁣ Everest is, well she’s a medium-sized Australian Cattle dog that weighs around 40 lbs. ⁣ Chris can carry the inflatable paddleb oard (and the dog, if necessary!) with ease. ⁣ However a concern was whether Lindsay would be able to carry the paddle board on her own. ⁣ In trying several other brands, Lindsay struggled. This is why we sold everything, said goodbye to those we love, and headed out on the road... we live for experiences like these, every day.⁣ We spent our Christmas and the next 5 days at an orphanage outside of La Paz, bcs. And while we don't have much to give but our time and don't speak Spanish very well, we found that Love is an easy and universal language. All the kids wanted was to know that someone cared enough about them to say hello, to kick a soccer ball or to sit next to at dinner.⁣ These girls were begging us just to go for a walk. How hard is that? The hardest part was knowing that the walk was going to come to an end. Reason #2 why we LOVE our iROCKER SUP: Ease of setup (and breakdown). ⁣ Our iROCKER inflatable SUP takes less than 10 minutes to setup - from unpacking it in our truck to being fully inflated. ⁣ The travel pack easily stores the paddle board for transport between our truck to wherever we would like to inflate the board. ⁣ From there the bag unzips and the paddle board can be unrolled on the ground. Inflating is simple and relatively easy. ⁣ We have the dual chamber hand pump, which takes approximately 7-10 minutes to fully inflate our paddle board to the maximum 18 psi. ⁣ The 3-part paddle connects in seconds and with that we are ready to explore! ⁣ Breaking down the board is just as quick and simple.
