Hi, I'm Danielle Tedrowe! I'm a 27-year-old travel writer and explorer from Austin, Texas.
I’m here to document my never-ending quest to explore every corner of the world. So far, I’ve hiked through the Amazon Rainforest, snorkeled with sharks at a coral reef, explored South America’s oldest colonial city, and that’s just the beginning!
My heart is calling me to seek adventure around the world.
Although I can’t travel all the time, I still need as much of it as I can possibly get. I need adventure, excitement, culture, and the unknown. I need to experience the world without abandoning my home or the people I love. Luckily, I have discovered that with lots of budgeting and extensive planning, it is absolutely possible to have both.
This blog is about traveling the globe and experiencing the most exciting, adventurous, and beautiful things the world has to offer – all while coming home to my dogs at night and maintaining a full-time career in the US. It’s about making the very most of vacation days and long weekends, and doing the most I can with the time I have available.
I've worked with brands such as Viator, Traverse Journeys, Matador, Taste Santa Barbara, various hotels and eco-lodges, and more.
A Key West jet ski tour is one of the island’s most popular tourist activities, and with good reason. What You Need for Your Key West Jet Ski Tour Wear your swimsuit! I had an amazing time on this tour and it was one of the best parts of our Key West trip, but I wouldn’t recommend this tour for children or anyone without a good amount of jet ski experience. Despite the rough ocean waters, the Fury jet ski tour was so much fun.
La Concha Hotel in Key West is a gorgeous, 4-star resort in the heart of Key West’s downtown. Duval Street, where La Concha Hotel is located, is Key West’s main street that is lined with bars, restaurants, and shops. La Concha Hotel is perfectly located in the middle of downtown, making it easy to walk to any of the sights, restaurants, or activities you have planned during your stay. We had an amazing time in Key West and waking up at La Concha Hotel every morning was certainly a great part of that.
Old Town vs. New Town Quito is divided into two main areas: the historic Old Town, and the modern New Town. When I visited Quito as a solo female traveler, I wanted to stay within walking distance of my hotel at night, and in an area with lots of other people around for safety. Where to Stay in Quito: Hotel Cayman Hotel Cayman is a tiny hotel located just two blocks from Plaza Foch, on a quiet and tree-lined street. Although the hotel is located off a main road, just a few minutes’ walk from bustling Plaza Foch, the actual street it’s on is very quiet and quaint.
While planning my trip to the Amazon Rainforest, I knew I would be initially flying into Quito and wanted to spend a few days exploring the city. I did lots of research into the must-see places in Quito and was disappointed to find that the majority of travel blogs I visited described some pretty major safety concerns when it came to exploring Quito. While researching if Ecuador is safe to visit, I learned that the US Department of State currently ranks Ecuador at a level 2 travel advisory, meaning that you should exercise increased caution. You’ll find trip itineraries, the best places to eat and stay, and tips on how to make your next trip the best ever.
