Our business started because our family wanted a nice farm table, but we weren’t able to afford one from a big retailer. It’s been an incredible journey, and over the past 4 years, we've built thousands of tables of every different size, color and shape that you could imagine and we feel that we have perfected the craft of building quality tables by hand. There are big retailers that charge hefty prices for tables which aren’t made in America, and there are big retailers that offer cheap prices, but for poorly made tables (that are also, not made in America). The Modern Farm Table comes in 3 sizes, with 2 color options.
This table was built from a house that we deconstructed back in 2016 (scroll down to see photos of the original structure). The house was built in the early 1900’s and was located only about 5 min from our shop. We have built countless tables from this old wood over the past few years, but the final table was for the actual property owner. This is a 14’ long trestle table that now lives back on the land where it came from.
We receive custom orders all the time from our amazing clients and we are always excited to take on a new project! ! ! This is the first round coffee table in this new design that we have ever built and we are thrilled with how it turned out. The bottom shelf and the table top are seated into the legs to create a unique hand crafted look that you won't find in any big box furniture store. The hundred year old reclaimed wood adds warmth and texture, which is sure to enhance the vibe of your favorite room.
Sarah Ruppersburg I worked with Sons of Sawdust to custom build a tapered leg table, and I cannot say enough good things about how great the experience was. Customer service is impeccable - the team walked me through all the options and steps in the process, always consulted with me when they came to a question, offered advice, but also listened and kept what I had in mind as the goal. I wish I needed another table so that I could have more of their work in my house. We worked with Sons of Sawdust to design and build the farm table we've always wanted.
