AT THE RUNDLEVIEW PARK, CANMORE The wedding took place in a picturesque venue surrounded by mountains, the weather was really nice and we were able to get some scenic shots of the couple. If you thought weddings couldn’t possibly be more emotional, Ashley and Cody also paid tribute to their roots and the starting of their new life by planting a sapling together with dirt from their Parents’ houses which they will plant in their new home. The waters were crystal clear blue that added to the beautiful pictures, the mountains were also the perfect backdrop as the groomsmen pretended to throw Cody into the water (so much fun! ). The reception took place in a theatre turned wedding venue, with its rustic lighting and wood panelling added just the right character to the day.
The women went to their allocated portion upstairs and the men went to the main hall .We waited as people started to arrive for the regular prayers, as our Nikkah would be read after Asr prayer. So as the ceremony continued, the Maulana states that my dad is giving me away to Shahmeran and all they’re going to wait for are the Nikkah papers to be signed. To the rest of the unmarried ladies out there, if there is a specific portion of your ceremony, or a certain something about your wedding that you want to play out a specific way, you have to voice it. And the rest of us married bunch, the things we didn’t get to do to our heart’s desires, well… we’ll just laugh and joke about it for the rest of our lives.

Our day began at the Tavern, a cool rustic location the couple chose. Even by the River Valley, the couple’s love brought out all the warmth in the pictures! After the ceremony, we were able to get some pictures of the adorable couple and their family. We were able to get some really fun shots of people dancing, the meaningful looks between the couple and all the love in the room!
