This time last year I'd just finished my first Virtual Cooking Workshop, where I made, you guessed it ... Chili-Lime Tacos! Little did I know how much that one little menu & workshop would impact my future as an entrepreneur and small business owner. I realized almost instantly that in a year of global uncertainty, personal distance and stay-at-home orders, this virtual connection could bring people together in a way that many so desperately needed and everyone enjoyed. Cooking became a conversation instead of an unapproachable or mundane chore. My menus became the theme of a 'great night in'. These virtual workshops became a way to safely socialize and have people and teams 'fill-their-cup' with laughter and learning new skills. 2020 and now into 2021 was not an easy year - but looking back now, all I think about is how amazing of an opportunity it was to be able to bring people together over these meaningful mealtime memories. Thank you to ALL of you for your support over this past year (and beyond). Spice up your routine with a mocktail! First you start with a base of 3 strawberries, 3 basil leaves, 3/4 ounce simple syrup, 3/4 ounce lime juice and a couple of cracks of black pepper! Muddle that together in the bottom of your cocktail shaker, add 1 cup of ice cubes and shake! Strain out liquid and fill up your glass with chilled sparking water (or Prosecco) for a truly delicious spring or summer sipper!
