I have a mission: to share Michigan’s incredible beauty with the world and to turn this beautiful state into a top international destination.
I have to say, back when I first arrived in Michigan 21 years ago coming from Brazil, it was not the place I imagined I would enjoy living in, but it didn’t take long to fall in love with this state. I quickly found out I was ever so wrong!
Why? There’s something for everyone in Michigan. Four beautiful seasons, beaches, dunes, woods, rivers, lakes, the Great Lakes, waterfalls, mountains and more. We have big cities, small villages and ghost towns. We have the most shoreline of any state in the US except Alaska, with 3,288 miles in total. We have fantastic trails to be enjoyed in every season, from chasing waterfalls in the summer to cross-country skiing or snowshoeing in the winter.
If you are like me and love to eat, Michigan is paradise for foodies. We amazing chefs and restaurants that offer incredible fine dining experience, as well as our typical foods like pasties and cudighi, wild game and foraging. You can pair any Michigan meal with our own craft beers, wines and distilled beverages.
My mission is simple. I want to put Michigan on the world’s top international destinatons the world and put this
beautiful state I now call home on the list of the top world destinations.
The best part is that Michigan still has that friendly environment, beach town feeling and many remote and exclusive areas to be explored. Come discover what “living the lake life” really means. Come discover Michigan with me.😎
The Mackinac Bridge sits over the Straits of Mackinac, serving as a “separator” between two of our beloved lakes:
The Golden Gate bridge sits over the San Francisco bay and connects San Francisco to Marin County, creating easier access to and from SF.
A point worth mentioning in favor of the Golden Gate bridge is that it’s pedestrian friendly.
In the winter, the Mackinac Bridge looks amazing behind a vastitude of blue ice — a Michigan winter phenomenon.
We are putting the winter days behind us, waking up to more light, more warmth, new ideas and new dreams.
It’s the perfect time to welcome the life force living in your body.
As the darkness diminishes and the light increases you may feel a building of imaginative and creative energy, perhaps a lifting of the fog and a dropping of the sleepy blanket that you have been curled up in for the past few months of winter.
Just as the world turns on its axis and brings about the return of the light turn after turn, we can rely on the return of our own light & energy and richness of our internal garden.
Yesterday in celebration of my 10K followers on Instagram I posted a video of Grand Island’s lavish summer beauty.
Today I give you a picture of my snowmobile trip to the island last winter.
There’s a calculated risk in many of the winter time adventures around our great lakes.
Listen to locals and authorities and people who know the area best about any dangers or places to avoid.
