Needless to say, for my love of all things star-related and the recent craze of constellation and zodiac related designs, I knew I wanted to create something related to this theme for my first go at creating some art prints with the Cricut Foil Transfer System! Cricut cardstock, in the colour of your choice Step 1 – preparing the materials for your design: First, I cut my sheets of cardstock to the size of the frames. Cricut has a quick and handy video of this process, which I recommend watching if it’s your first time using the foil transfer system. At this point, it’s time to switch out your fine point Cricut blade to the Cricut foil tool, with the tip of your choice.

For my second shirt, I wanted to use a different base material and went with a white cotton-poly blend t-shirt that I had laying around. Because I was using a mixture of both Smart iron-on and Everyday iron-on, when selecting you materials Design Space will give you an option to load your materials “multiple ways”. For the white material, I chose Everyday iron-on on a matt, and then I chose Smart Materials for the rest. My shirts were a cotton poly blend, so I used 310°F and heat for 30 seconds with light pressure, then flip the shirt over so the front is facing down and repeat this process for another 30 seconds on the back to ensure seamless transfer.

I also tried using 100% beetroot powder to create some red hearts, but that didn’t work out as nicely as the latte powder. I made some custom designs as well (stay tuned for another post on those later!), but for these ones I just searched keywords like “heart” and “Valentine’s Day” in Design Space. If you chose a different acetate sheet, I’d recommend doing a few test cuts first to see what pressure and settings work best to produce a clean cut. Next, I would pop the stencil off the grip mat and then remove the detailed cuts/shape from the stencil by hand or with my Cricut tweezers for smaller pieces.

Cranberries are one of my favourite things to experiment in the kitchen with this time of the year I thought I would take the time to finally upload the recipe here so that it’s easier to find! Christmas looks a little different this year, so we’re not having our usual brunch, but my friends, family and I have been making the most of it anyway we can. We’ve done drive-through Christmas light tours, secret Santa’s by snail mail and virtual Christmas parties and trivia nights; the latter of which this cocktail has been my go-to drink of choice for.
