The last time we had professional photos taken, we were about to be a family of 3. Now, we’re a family of 4 and I can’t imagine it any other way ❤️ . Getting a toddler to pose for pictures is no easy feat and, we definitely left the photoshoot early and a bit stressed but, I’m so happy we have these pictures to look back on! I finally got the rug in the wash and Lilly seemed very interested in the rug pad on the floor. So, I made her a fort! I’m not sure how she’ll feel when it’s time to put the rug back together but…that’ll just have to be future mommy’s problem 🙃 . To be perfectly honest, the fort was also a way for me to distract her while I finished my coffee. The last few weeks have been rough. Lilly is going through a clingy phase where she only wants me and will throw tantrums if daddy tries to do anything. Mommy burnout is getting real and my depression seems to be at an all time high 😖 I’m so lonely during the day but, the thought of leaving the house with both girls puts me in a state of impossible overwhelm. I need a buddy in my house, lol. One that’s old enough to go to the bathroom by themselves 😅 . I must have said “let’s try to keep the sand on the tarp, okay?” a few million times but, I’m so glad we bought Lilly some kinetic sand to play with! 🎉 . She immediately wanted to make a ball family (not pictured). One of them is named Nemo and she cuddles and kisses the baby balls 🥰 . You see bag clips, Lilly saw new friends! 🤗 . She wanted to bring them with her in the bath. Then she decided they needed a bath too. So, I filled her bucket with soapy water, gave her a scrub brush, and she went to work 🧼 . She has such an active imagination and I try to have a “yes and” attitude as much as possible. I’ll admit, though, I sometimes lose track. We put Holly in the nursery for the first time tonight. She’s taking forever to fall asleep as usual and I’m watching Lilly like a hawk 👀 . I’m so afraid that she’ll try to climb into the crib, especially since Holly keeps fussing but, so far she’s staying put. And just like that, this silly girl is 6 months old 😱 The time has just flown by! She’s quite possibly the happiest baby on the planet. Seriously, I think she smiles even more than Lilly did at this age. . We’re working on sitting up and continued strengthening of those neck muscles. She may need to wear a cranial helmet for a bit but, compared to what we went through with Lilly, that isn’t even a blip on the radar. . We are starting solid food purées this month.
