Isn't it crazy how many simple things we may take for granted when we don't have them? A simple trip to the grocery store, a meeting with a friend, a dip in the ocean... These weeks have reminded me to be grateful for so many little things, but also have shown me how adaptable we are as humans. Now I am starting to appreciate the extra time at home for introspection, the extra energy to focus on myself, the discipline to stick to a routine at home.. All the little things add up, whether they were in our expected plans or not, these experiences are shaping and molding us into more adaptable, creative, problem-solving beings and for that I am grateful. It's unsettling to be locked in a stare down with our own mortality We cannot escape it and we have been forced to give up our control Most people, when giving up control feel like they have no power, but this is not true. There is power in surrender and power in acceptance of what is. When we accept what is and surrender to our circumstances with the intention that we are where we are meant to be, we recalibrate and we give up resistance. Without resistance, our energy is open to new experiences, ideas, creative energy, This is a time for reflection and slowing down. A time to rediscover ourselves, address these new fears that are coming up, and find equilibrium. Take this time as a rediscovery period for yourself. This is a time of deep unknowns and ultimate confusion. A time where not much feels secure and the ability to stay grounded feels immensely more challenging than usual. Luckily, the way we approach this time in life is up to us. We may feel a bit off-center and anxious, but what if we take the time to focus on what is stable, what is secure. I find that when I base my personal security on the external world, i.e. a job, stable income, my physical looks, etc, I am not fully happy or grounded. But when I really take the time and put in the effort to explore what is INTERNAL that keeps me sane and grounded, I feel much better. I want to share this with you because it keeps me going in times that are rough and a bit scary, and I know we all need a little extra TLC right now. Instead of being anxious and dependent on the world not falling apart right now, focus on an inner knowing..a knowing that you have the capacity to exist within a world that is governed by miracles, manifestation, and love. That above all else, you are exactly where you're meant to be. That the bonds between you and your loved ones are ever-present and sometimes a little (or a very big!) shakeup in this world is needed for some serious change.
