Cabinet of Curiosities

a super mini painting I bought on my first ever blogger meet up in 2005 when I met Kathleen, Leslie, Hope and Jess in New York City. He was a super gifted harmonica player and I actually remember buying this particular one (and also his last one before he passed away) with him when I was a little girl. a piece of Christmas wrapping paper that my buddies Glenn and Russell used as a gift tag on a box of chocolate Roses they gave to me for Christmas 1995. It’s the best Christmas tag in the history of Christmas tags and I’ve been keeping it and finally framing it ever since 1995.

The Attic Living Room

The current living room, dining room and library will be used to run the tea room and shop from. So instead of paying €6700 for sisal flooring with €1200 in waste we used € The attic is divided in two rooms, one room that overlooks the street and the room where the library is in that overlooks the garden. I’ve painted the IKEA TARVA chest of drawers in yet another shade of white, Farrow & Ball Shadow White and I used white ceramic cabinet knobs from my favourite shop Willow & Stone.

New for 2019

I haven’t touched my garden, I haven’t tried new recipes, I haven’t touched my camera, I haven’t made anything But nonetheless I’m really enjoying the tea room and the shop and all the amazing people I’ve met. So after a lot of thinking, measuring and visiting the town hall I can now confirm that I’ll be moving the tea room and the shop back home with me. So I will be at home where I can blog and write about my home again and I will be running the tea room and shop from the same place.

Yvestown Christmas fair

I feel awful about so many things in general as I never knew this new shop and tearoom were going to take up so much of my time. * Jo from s.t.o.e.f will be selling vintage furniture * The Craftdates ladies will be hosting a workshop and selling their book * Sophie will be selling her wooden side tables And a few things more. And in other good Christmas news; the Christmas decals are back in my Etsy shop. I’ll be back quite often this month as I have so much to show you, like a Christmas shop and an attic that we are turning into a living room and library.
