Twenty-something Dallas blogger loving life in the city!
Two trends, that I’m totally loving, that are carrying over into 2018 are velvet and moto jackets, and for todays post I’m wearing both! I’ve been seeing the moto jacket trend carry over from last year into this fall/winter season, and I absolutely love the fresh new takes on a classic besides just the basic black leather. For example, this red velvet moto jacket is quickly becoming a new favorite because its so easy to throw on and adds the perfect trendy statement to my winter wardrobe. Now that I’ve built a nice little collection of staples since getting a big-girl job, I finally feel as though I can start spending my shopping money on fun statements!
The first weekend of the year is just one day away, and even thought it’s been a short week I’m definitely ready! One, it’s a bit unexpected and two, when done right, white lends itself well to the icy months of winter. For this look, I paired my jeans with a white puffer vest and a blush embellished sweater for a bit of a statement to an otherwise staple-heavy look. The ruffle bell sleeves and embellishments on this sweater add the perfect on-trend touch (just make sure to grab a large enough coat! ).
I know I took a little break from posting these last few days, but I promise a little R&R was much needed after the hectic holiday season! After a few lazy days of resting up, I’m ready to get back into the swing of things and excited to officially kick off 2018! Fashion wise, I like to pick up some winter wardrobe staples to get me through the last few months of winter – plus I feel like January is always the coldest month. When it’s super cold out, chunky sweaters and booties are my go-to winter wardrobe staples.
