Hello! I specialise in natural yet striking photographs of babies, children and families. An award-winning photographer, my photographs have been published in national magazines. Proud mum of one! Insta: @louiserosephotography
The newborn baby’s crib was so beautiful and elegant. The older sister was just tall enough to peer over the crib and look at her baby sibling while standing on her tip toes. With some gentle guidance and playful suggestions, we encouraged the older sister to cuddle up next to her newborn baby sister – It gave me the opportunity to photograph her big beautiful eyes curiously looking towards the camera as she lay in bed.
She even gently rested her head on her baby sister trying to listen for her heartbeat when I was photographing portraits of the newborn baby girl – with parents close by, just in case! I loved capturing the mum sitting in the rocking chair in the nursery, with all the subtle nursery decorations surrounding her as she tried to calm down her newborn baby girl. Mums often spend a lot of time in rocking chairs during the newborn baby phase late at night, so it’s really special to have a beautiful photograph that brings back some of those rocking chair memories. When this chubby newborn baby was resting in her crib accompanied by her bright blue bunny, her older sister came over and began to rock the little crib.
The youngest daughter’s stuffed bunny made a debut in a number of the photos – The youngest sibling switched out her stuffed animal bunny for a new character to bring on her outdoor adventures. The family portraits with the beautiful backdrop of the greenery and river were wonderful, and of course I captured some photographs of the kids exploring the park together with their mum and dad. As always, I included the quiet and tender moments as well as the exuberant ones – these all play a role in bringing back memories of what your little ones were like at this stage of their childhood.
This newborn baby boy was particularly curious and aware, and it was wonderful to capture a photograph of the baby looking straight into the camera. The sweet elements only found in newborn babies are a must for photographs, so as always I captured his delicate tiny hands, his fresh chubby cheeks, and delightful toes. Following the inevitable dirtying of the initial outfit, his parents gave him a quick outfit change – rather than an inconvenience, I find these a great opportunity to providing more variety in the photographs. The classic photo of both parents looking fondly upon their baby boy is a photograph that is always so appreciated by parents.
