Princess Cruises has announced that its new Royal-Class ship will be named Enchanted Princess Enchanted Princess is set to launch on June 15, 2020 sailing a series of European voyages. Enchanted Princess will be Princesses fifth Royal Class ship and sister ship to Royal Princess, Regal Princess, Majestic Princess and Sky Princess. The cruise line also has two new Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) powered ships on order to be delivered in late 2023 and spring 2025, bringing its new ship order to five ships in six years. Construction of the 143,700-tonne, 3,660-guest Enchanted Princess will take place in the Fincantieri Monfalcone shipyard with the ship set to feature an evolution of the design platform used for the cruise line’s existing Royal-Class ships.

Princess Cruises has added kettles with tea and coffee in all staterooms on the Sapphire Princess to appeal to UK cruisers. The Sapphire Princess is the main ship currently sailing from Southampton up to October 2018. Last year the MSC Magnifica added kettles while in the UK and run a competition to decide what type of tea they will serve. It was expected tea and coffee making facilities would have been added during the recent two-week dry-dock which included updates to the staterooms, including new beds and smart televisions, and children’s facilities.
