It hasn’t always been a walk in the park for me, and if I am candid, to this day, I don’t always get it right concerning all my sisters, but I am conscious, and I do make an effort. I learned the hard way, every woman doesn’t have this same outlook, and I had to embrace the fact that it’s I know that I can’t be around people for long periods of time without taking a break to have time for myself. You know how you like to be treated and what things people do to annoy you, so only treat other women how you want to be treated.

Would you believe me if I told you, just a couple of hours before taking this picture, unexpectedly I was notified by a client they were ending their contract for staffing services for 36 employees. If I can be honest, I wanted to panic but somehow knew I couldn’t head down that rabbit hole at that moment. As vain as this may sound, I had a photoshoot in just a couple of hours, and I couldn’t allow fear and uncertainty to overtake me because I knew it would show. Now, let me be honest, so that I avoided having a dramatic meltdown moment, I did decide to bed before dark, but Sis, I got up at daylight and went about my Saturday.

The ones who have seen every bump, twist, turn, and bad relationship choose and have waited patiently for us at the finish line of that line episode. Someone felt the need to pull back and gather themselves and that’s ok because, thankfully, regardless of the why people remained true, the bond performed called Sisterhood!. Though we’re meant to live this life as “sophisticated” adults, I am here for those real friends who make me loud and giddy after one 10 minutes in each other’s presence. These are the friendships who celebrate with you, mourn with you, and help you see the real you again, even if you spent some time apart.

Yes, it might have been difficult at times, but let’s be honest; some things were impossible. Thank you for taking the negative words that others had to say about you and using those words as motivation to prove each one of those people wrong. Whatever YOU choose to do in life, continue to be the best version of yourself. Sis, continue to follow your intuition, continue to confide in God when times are rough, and continue to be yourself no matter what people may think or say about you.
