04022021 Bangalore Palace is one of the least visited tourist locations of Bangalore. There could be multiple reasons as to why does that happen. TBH, it took me 30 years to visit the place even after being a true Bangalorean. As I walked through the highly decorated rooms, bright walls and really expensive artefacts, it was this courtyard that caught the most of my attention. #throwback 05092020 In the cradle of the Western Ghats in Karnataka - 2 As we made our way back from Honnavar to Jog Falls, there was a point which one could easily miss where they could see the River Sharavathi up-close. The Sharavathi River Hanging Bridge. A narrow suspension bridge which is mostly used by the locals to cross the river by foot but you will regularly find 2 wheelers somehow finding their way from one side to the other. Yes, it does get annoying but then, this is one of the only 4 bridges which connects the banks of Sharavathi, which means, the locals have no other option. But yeah, the view from the top of the bridge shows the splendour of Sharavathi and is one of the best locations to see it top down. The river Sharavathi flowing so calmly in front of you with the greenery on both sides of the bank which this part of Karnataka boasts about and the clearest of skies as the background, I've actually made this picture as my screensaver. #throwback 1st post of #2021. Coorg! The best time to visit Coorg is sometime in between July and October as you'd be able to see the entire place at its best. This place is Abbey Falls. The drop height isn't too high but the force at which the water gushes into the river bed below, you can actually feel the droplets coming at you. Coorg, the Scotland of India is filled with so many picturesque locations that even if you try to cover the locations in a week, it wouldn't be enough. #traveltip - Always try and stay at a homestay in Coorg to enjoy some delicious local food and also the nature walks in the estate.
