MUST DO EXPERIENCES IN MARRAKECH

Riad Talaa 12 is basically everything I appreciate about a hotel:  it is small enough to feel very cosy and personal, the decoration is traditional but amenities are modern, there is a gorgeous rooftop overlooking the city, breakfast is delicious, the staff is super friendly and finally the location is perfect, right in the heart of the Medina. This is the beauty of Marrakech : You enter Le Jardin through a very unassuming door, and behind the high walls you find the most beautiful courtyard, with banana tress everywhere, turquoise tiles on the floor and some turtles roaming around (yes, actually, real life turtles! ). If you want to shop in a more conventional environment, head over to Max & Jan a modern concept store in the heart of the Medina, selling lots of ethnic chic clothes inspired from Moroccan styles, as well as great souvenirs. Gris wine is a sort of rose wine made from red grapes, often Pinot Noir but with a white wine technic.

MOST BEAUTIFUL VILLAGES IN LUBERON

It is not easy to narrow down the list of villages to check out, so I thought I would share with you the villages I visited and loved last August. Anyway, one of his residences sits on top of the village of Lacoste, and although my interest in the Marquis himself was limited, the view from the castle, over the surrounding valley and all the way to the Mont Ventoux was beautiful. To be honest, it is listed as one of the most beautiful village in Luberon, so you should probably visit it anyway,  I might just have visited on the wrong day / time. This list wouldn't be complete if I didn't mention some of the more famous villages in the region as well.

What to do in Kashan, Iran

Here are the main things I recommend you to do in Kashan: Back in the 11th to 13th century,  Kashan was a important commercial city, especially known for the trade of fabric and ceramics. The most famous houses to visit are the below, but you can find more as you walk through the city centre of Kashan. I discovered Kashan's old walls thanks to the manager of our hotel who gave us an insider tour of Kashan! More to do in and around kashan - Rose fields : If you are luck enough to be in Kashan in April, go visit some rose fields and don't forget to bring home some rose water.

CHEFCHAOUEN, THE BLUE PEARL

From Casablanca airport, it took us around 6 hours to reach the gorgeous little town of Chefchaouen, also known as the Blue Pearl. After a traditional Moroccan breakfast in the hotel, we started exploring the blue streets of Chefchaouen. The destination is popular for sunset and although the day was cloudy, the view was definitely worth the effort We walked back to Chefchaouen with a goal : finding a place to grab a drink! Whatever the original reason is, I am sure the inhabitants of Chefchaouen have well understood the beauty and attractiveness of their city and regularly refresh the blue paintings, making it maybe the prettiest city in Morocco.
