http://mountainmodernlife.com We're passionate about creating a life you love. Currently traveling in our (renovated) tiny home on wheels. #RVlife
Why was it important for you to update your camper? Living in it full time we wanted to make it feels like home to us! What are you most inspired by or is there anything specific that inspired your reno? I would say my love for vintage + old charm is where it all started! I wanted white brick, my husband wanted wood beams! After putting two and two together it turned out to be the perfect mixture of us both! Where’s your favorite place to shop for décor? What was most challenging about your renovation? Running into water damage and having to replace the 2 slide subfloors (95°+ weather didn’t help the whole reno process either, I think that made it physically harder than it should’ve been!) What project made the most difference? The white paint made a shocking difference, it finally felt like we’re getting somewhere! Though, we’d have to say adding the beams was the finishing touch to the entire renovation! Do you have any future projects or changes planned for the interior? We still need to do a few finishing touches by installing a new countertop, faucet and finishing the bathrooms! What piece of advice would you give someone just starting a camper renovation? Do plenty of research beforehand to save time & be prepared for things you don’t except! You never know what you’ll find underneath old carpet!!! But don’t be discouraged, if we can do it you can too! You got this! Not being tied down in one place! I love the fact that you can just hook up your home to the back of the truck and go! Caulking the roof and slides every so often is our absolute least favorite thing about rv life! What is something you’ve learned in general or about yourself since going tiny? We’re not minimalists at heart, we easily accumulate things but we’ve learned to be careful with what we bring in has helped a lot! Always making sure it has a place, it’s useful & the things we love! What has been your favorite place to explore or a place you are excited to explore in the future? We loved exploring Montana in the winter & Estes Park, Colorado! The views and hikes were pretty incredible! We would love to explore the California coast sometime in the future! Thank you, Maria, for letting us feature your beautiful and inspiring RV renovation!
The tiny house movement had inspired Brit and she found herself obsessed with tiny homes and the idea of living in one. J, on the other hand, wasn’t sold on living in an actual tiny home but was open to moving into an RV. The result is a plant-filled and incredibly welcoming tiny home with Southwestern vibes that I’m somewhat obsessed with. Whether you’re looking for RV reno ideas or have been contemplating whether or not to update a newer rig, I hope this tour will help encourage and inspire you!
Meet Ashley and her husband, Mike, who purchased and renovated a park model RV in an effort to live simpler, be closer to family, and save money. They sold the home they had renovated, paid cash for their RV, and are currently living debt-free on their friend’s land (which just so happens to be super dreamy! ). If you’re considering living stationary in an RV, I think Ashley and Mike prove that this lifestyle can be more than worth it, even if you don’t plan to travel. As I mentioned earlier, their RV is a park model, so it’s meant to be parked for longer periods of time and doesn’t have typical RV tanks.
A recent cross-country trip inspired Chad and Gina Farmer to sell everything they own and travel around the US with their two toddlers. With a business they could run remotely, they decided to put their home on the market and begin the downsizing process
