“The sailor cap is from St. Petersburg's “Shtandard” fleet's souvenir shop, the shorts with Tom of Finland pattern are made by Antti Asplund, the chains are from K-Rauta. I'm not that big of a fashion person (I don't follow fashion that intensively), but I do like to dress up and I love to break gender norms (and to shock people) and stuff like that.
All my clothes are from secondhand or vintage stores although I do also love some Finnish design brands. My style is inspired by colors, patterns, modern art pieces and everything around me. All my clothes are from second hand and vintage stores and I even work in a one. My favorite brands right now are Nokonen and Marimekko both ethical printend beautiful cotton clothes by Finnish designers.
“I’m wearing a leather jacket and custom-made high-heel cowboy boots from my MA graduate collection. The t-shirt I’m wearing is special for me because it features the first woman of color who became Miss Finland. and I always try to invest into pieces that I know I’ll hold on for dear life. Designers like Grace Wales Bonner and Shayne Oliver inspire me.
“I'm wearing secondhand with a Weekday blazer and Dr. Martens shoes. Fashion photography, other people around me and social media inspire my style. My style philosophy is to combine something sweet and soft with a simple classic piece of clothing. My current favorites are pastel colours, and secondhand shopping online.
