“Tea, weren’t you afraid of the lions on Safari?” Another question I hear a lot. I actually felt blessed to see them...there are only an estimated 20,000 Lions left on the continent of Africa. The lion populations have decreased by 50 percent due to poaching, trophy hunting and human encroachment. Only 6 countries in Africa harbor more than 1000 lions currently. This once majestic species of Apex Predators now face endangerment and possible extinction. This is all due to the top Apex predator...the human race. A moment in my element captured...I have a love for “old” things and places, the more ancient the better! We can learn so much about our current state by observing the past...because there’s literally no concept truly “new” on this planet. If you adore temples and ruins like I do, then you will absolutely fall in love at Angkor Wat. But do yourself a favor and give yourself at least a few days to explore... The Angkor temple complex spans over 154 square miles...its a lot of ground to cover 😉. ______________________________ What about you? Do you cherish the old, or the new?

I came across this picture, and it made me laugh...this is me, trying to look cool as I choke on Cuban cigar smoke for the first time...Cigar smoking is not my thing, can you tell?😂 * * Visiting the different farms in Viñales, Cuba is an experience I found quite interesting and informative. I learned about the Tobacco growing process, how the leaves are cured, and even some helpful cigar tips, like dipping the end in honey before lighting...believe it or not, this helped me a bit...especially with the taste! * * It was also explained to me that Tobacco farmers in Cuba are legally mandated to sell 90 percent of their crop to the government...for a price determined by the government. * * Any thoughts about this?
