More highlights from our first few days onboard @oceaniacruises Regatta: ⚓️Regatta has a FULL size library where you can relax atop the ship and borrow from hundreds of book titles. We fell in love with this space on day 1. It’s quiet and elegant, and libraries like this are so rare on ships these days. We spotted fiction, travel, biography, history, science and so much more among the collection. ⚓️ Mr. CTTV was showered with birthday love yesterday. He is happiest when he can be on a cruise for his birthday and our room steward hung the most colorful decor to celebrate. It was the perfect day. ⚓️ Yesterday, we stopped in San Francisco, CA- our first port of call. We went for a quick 2-mile walk along the waterfront, then came back to the ship to enjoy the sunny day and views. ⚓️ Sailaway from San Francisco is always breathtaking- and yesterday was no exception! The sun was shining and the fog waited until we left the bay to roll in over the Golden Gate Bridge! Gives me chills every time we pass under the bridge as we leave for open water. ⚓️ Today, we had breakfast in the dining room & the eggs Benedict, Swedish pancakes and banana oat pancakes hit the spot. We can’t wait for the regional specialties to come in Alaska. We are headed to ALASKA! #ad #hosted Yesterday, our family boarded the lovely @oceaniacruises Regatta for a “Gold Rush Trails” adventure to Alaska! It’s our first cruise with Oceania and we can’t wait to share this small-ship, foodie adventure with you! Some fun facts: ⚓️Regatta holds 670 Guests and there are 400 Staff Members to take care of us. ⚓️The ship was Refurbished in 2019 and every stateroom is *entirely* new from floor to ceiling, including the bathrooms. The beds are SO cozy and our balcony cabin feels BRAND new. ⚓️ Oceania is known for their wonderful cuisine. They have 24 hour room service (included of course) and the specialty steakhouse and Italian restaurant are included with your cruise fare too. We had a room service triple decker club Sammy yesterday and it was 5- star! I’ll take a photo next time! It was a WINDY day in Cozumel- but our friends at @paradisebeachcozumel made sure we had a great time on the island. Here’s some fun facts about Cozumel: 🌴 The island of Cozumel (in Mayan: Cuzamil- for “land of the swallows”) is the largest of the Mexican islands in the Caribbean Sea, as well as the most populated island in the country. 🌴Guacamole tastes better on the beach. 🌴 Paradise Beach offers all inclusive packages, massage add ons and even a taco truck! ☀️Food and fun yesterday onboard Sun Princess! Sun Princess has a new Dining concept for their main dining room. Each of the three levels represents a different formality level & timing. I tried the casual eatery for lunch yesterday. It’s called “Americana” and features casual eats like ribs, tots & all day breakfast. For dinner we indulged at one of Chef @sodaminrudi seafood restaurants called “The Catch”.
