By Christmas, I’ll be halfway done with law school and almost nearly done with school permanently… I don’t know about you, but working in a space that is cramped, unorganized, and messy is just not my jam. They are perfect for keeping the aesthetics of my room on point while also providing some handy-dandy storage space for extra books, office supplies, candles, essential oil diffusers, and of course, my line art drawing of Paisley. With four nails total, I was able to completely transform this space and make it feel more like “Jade” before going back to school.

Blogging felt like the very last thing I wanted to do – in all honesty, with all of the things happening in the world and my personal life, it felt extremely tone deaf to continue talking about topics like beauty, fashion, and social media as if they mattered to me (at all) like they did before 2020. And to be completely honest, throughout all of this very serious contemplation and reflection, the amount of self-awareness I’ve experienced has made it extremely hard for me to find the will to write or be present on social media at all, actually. I realized that I very much so was letting others’ opinions weigh so heavily on my heart and the things that I truly find joy in doing; I love creating, writing, photographing, designing, etc. And I feel like in this world, at this moment, the most important thing we can do for ourselves is to create moments and experiences that bring us happiness and joy.

Most often, incredibly, these moments are good moments, commemorating amazing times of my life that I feel truly, incandescently happy. We all had plans two weeks ago; to go somewhere, to attend something, to see someone, to do something that we can, just two weeks later, no longer do. I have friends on Facebook who had to reschedule their wedding days; my own aunt and uncle canceled their vow renewal ceremony of thirty years that was supposed to happen in early April [in Vegas, btw]. Learning about property law cases from 50 years ago just lacks even more relevance than it already did for me; how do I talk about beauty, and makeup, and social media when people are dying?

Now that we’ve got all of that out of the way, let’s talk about why you need a media kit (lol). However, I do caution you all to buy these if you absolutely can not hire someone to create a custom kit for you or create a custom kit yourself. If you’re not confident in your design abilities or just don’t have the time/energy to play around with building your own media kit, you can hire a designer to help you. You can update your media kit once every three months for FREE or pay anytime for a $15 update on any part of the kit (even a full re-design, if you want).
