Inaugurado en 1883, estuvo dotado de personal completo hasta principios de la década de 1900, lo que llevó a importantes descubrimientos en el clima de montaña y, finalmente, a la invención de la cámara de niebla. Si bien el observatorio está ahora mayoritariamente en ruinas, todavía se puede utilizar como refugio en caso de emergencia. Quién??? 👇 Fue el nieto del depuesto y exiliado rey católico Jaime VII de Escocia y II de Inglaterra. En 1745 el principie lideró una campaña para recuperar el trono de Inglaterra y se generaron los Levantamientos Jacobitas para derrocar al Rey Jorge II. . Luego de varias batallas ganadas, el avance del principe se detuvo en la Batalla de Culloden, batalla que duró menos de 1 hora. . Bonnie Prince Charlie logró escapar y el ejercito puso precio a su cabeza: £30000. . Luego de varios meses huyendo, logró llegar a la isla de Skye y de allí a Francia. .
