It’s nicknamed the vertical city and is famous for the colorful buildings stacked high into the steep mountainsides. This option would be best if you don’t have too much luggage and aren’t in any time crunches. It’s recommended to start in Bomerano as the path will be slightly downhill and have better views along the way. It’s perfect to enjoy by the beach on a hot day before walking back up through the streets.

I felt bad for them as I’m sure they didn’t want to spend their eternity in a glass case, but I was happy we were able to see them. We didn’t go because we were hungry and didn’t want to wait in another long line for security. It’s popular with the locals, and isn’t a tourist trap like some of the other restaurants in Campo de Fiori.

We stayed at The Scott Resort & Spa, and I was very impressed with the design and decor, all the little touches, and their overall customer service. There is a daily resort fee, but compared to other resort fees I’ve seen, I found it to be a good value. Here are some other hotels in the area if The Scott Resort and Spa isn’t for you: I had found this restaurant online and was delighted to see it was just one block from the hotel. We went here twice for dinner, and would’ve went a 3rd time if we didn’t already have a wedding dinner to attend.

Here’s what we had on our original plan: After the show, we had planned to hop on the Star Ferry to take us over to Hong Kong Island, and head up to Victoria Peak see the night view of the city. There’s the Kowloon night market and the Temple Street night market. The only con about going so early is that the main lookout point, the Sky Terrace 428 at the top of The Peak Tower, wasn’t open yet. Things you’ll want to know ahead of time is transportation, how you’ll get to your hotel, what sights you’ll want to see, what activities you want to hit, opening/closing times, restaurant options, etc.
