Making the Finishing Touches on our RV Makeover – a sneak peek before next week's final reveal

We have what is called a split bath in our RV. This basically separates out the bathroom into three separate components, that can be used independently

We’re getting so close! In Episode 6 of our RV Makeover, we show you our substantial progress

The original ceiling fixtures had fluorescent bulbs. We plan to replace the ceiling lights and fixtures with LEDs and will show you how that turned out in the final reveal. The RV had a sconce light mounted on the wall near the couch which we removed, but we will NOT be installing a new light there. The last lighting change in the front part of the coach was in the dining area, where we removed the original oyster style light above the booth dinette.

Here's how we did our RV reno off-grid, powered by our lithium battery, inverter & solar setup

While Julie and I have many friends in the RV community with extensive knowledge about solar and batteries, we felt we still had a lot to learn when we were first shopping around for our system needs. From the day we first looked at CC, we knew a battery upgrade would be high on our “must upgrade ASAP” list. So when Battle Born invited us to partner with them on our power upgrade, we accepted their offer to provide the major components, at no cost to us. Any company that has a bigger vision for its customers and the world at large – instead of just pure corporate profit – is one we are interested in knowing more about.

In Episode 4, our RV renovation continues with building, painting, tiling, flooring, and laughs

To be honest, I was really glad that Julie and the girls did so much filming the amount of work involved with re-covering the valances/window boxes. It is amazing how, just by re-covering the top part of the ugly, dated decorative fabric, we were able to completely change the look of the valances. The girls used curtains that Jane had found at Bed, Bath and Beyond, in a blue, grey and white pattern that linked in with the rest of the ‘design story’ in the RV. As you might imagine, this <22 minute video just gives you a quick glimpse at the enormous amount of time, work and effort that went into putting CC back together.
