The Not Your Average Globetrotter project is an expat video podcast for people who want to become expats or who are already expats who are interested in living abroad, moving abroad, “expat life”, and especially for those interested in living in Italy…
Because moving abroad including moving to Italy can be quite the undertaking, I wanted to share information and experiences with others in hopes of helping people to avoid a potentially difficult transition into life abroad as an expatriate regardless of the country they move to.
During my search for content before I started my own project, I found many creators focused only on the glamorous side of a life abroad while forgetting about the daily realities that people face in a new country, learning everything from "A-Z" all over again, visas or even dual citizenship including dual Italian citizenship. There’s more than just the “Pizza, Pasta and Amore”. But even when living abroad gets tough, it's important to remember you're not alone and there are many other people who have gone through the same struggles and have the same questions that you might have. I enjoy being part of the global discussion about life abroad with people I have met along the way and sharing information that I know can make a difference in a person's life.
