Hey Siri: Take me back to Siena ๐ฎ๐น While visiting the various wine regions in Tuscany, I decided to stay in Siena (thanks for the suggestion @delicious_journey_ ). Aside from all the stairs and hills, which I was not prepared for physically ๐คฃ๐คฃ (I'm lazy), it was the perfect area to serve as the base location for my stay as I was close to everything. Many travel tours depart from here, and it's such a vibrant place to be. I have to say that the highlight of my tour was being invited to join @lexiswinelist on one of her wine retreat days and getting to meet her in person. It was a fabulous way to kick off my Italian Wine Week ๐ท

There is nothing like a relaxing visit to the spa to kick off a great vacation! Whenever I travel, I try my best to include a trip to a spa. Lucky for me, my beautiful hotel - Bellevue @adriaticluxuryhotels, has a spa resort on the property. I pampered myself with a facial and massage on the first day and then took advantage of the hot tub, sauna, steam rooms, pool, and other spa amenities for the rest of my stay. I highly recommend this hotel for any visit to Dubrovnik. #dubrovnik #hotelbellevue #croatia #croatiatravel
Discover a hidden gem in Croatia! ๐๐ @winery_rizman has stolen my heart with its breathtaking beauty. ๐ทโจ During my visit to Dubrovnik, I explored five wineries (located outside of Dubrovnik), but this one truly stood out! From sipping on unique wines like Poลกip and Tribidrag to indulging in local delicacies like prosciutto Kulina and Croatian cheeses (aged in wine), every moment was a feast for the senses. ๐ง๐ท๐ซ It was the equivalent of a wine-and-dine paradise with stunning island views, majestic mountains, and lush vineyards at every turn! Charlottesville has an abundance of activities such as wineries, horseback riding, wine retreats, and great restaurants if you havenโt heard. Veritas Winery offers three-day wellness reset retreats, which combine yoga and hiking with wine education, cooking classes, vineyard tours, and farmhouse dinners. In full disclosure, I didnโt know what I signed up for, and when they told us that we were going to ride the horses through the vines and up the mountain, my friend and I were terrified. Unlike the Farmhouse at Veritas, it also has a pool and a hot tub, perfect for a girlโs trip.
Check them out below: Fairly new to the Ohio Wine Region, Autumn Rush is a black-owned winery located in Johnstown, Ohio which is just outside of Columbus. Out of the wineries Iโve visited in Ohio so far, Buckeye Lake is one of my favorites, in terms of scenery. It is one of Ohioโs oldest wineries, has beautiful views of the Portage Lake and friendly farm animals. I didnโt want to drink and drive, so I didnโt taste any of the wine, but the views were STUNNING!
Iโve listed some of my favorite places to travel near the DC area, where you can combine a trip to the beach + a visit to a winery. When tourists come to the DC area and want to access to a beach, many people ask whether they should visit Cape May Beach or Rehoboth Beach as both are rated as one of the best east coast beaches to visit. It also has some great wineries such as Cape May Winery and Turdo Vineyards and Winery if you choose to add a trip to a winery to your visit. Things to consider: If you have some extra time, Iโd suggest exploring some of the wineries in Charlottesville as it is the halfway point between DC and Smith Mountain Lake.
