Long story short, I started to develop disordered eating and an unhealthy mindset in 2015. In 2017, this developed into a full blown eating disorder. On October 9th, was formally diagnosed with anorexia. I was admitted to Primary Children's Hospital where I recieved an NG feeding tube. I was discharged from the hospital 6 days later. Little did I know then that I would have this tube up my nose, down my throat, and into my stomach for the following 4 months. After months and months of nearly unbearable recovery, thanks to dieticians, therapists, and pediatricians, I was able to slowly recover. Fast forward to one year marking the anniversary of my diagnosis where I considered myself fully recovered. Since, I have begun advocating for eating disorder recovery and awareness and speaking about my experiences. I support and influence for all things self-care, mental health, and wellness.
