Let's Celebrate! A "Festive Garden" Cocktail Party // Hostess with the Mostess®

Our new “Festive Garden” Cocktail Party combines fresh greenery, big pops of color, and hints of metallic glam for a look that’s warm, versatile and fun. They’re the perfect excuse to treat guests to things they don’t get to enjoy everyday, such as big balloon garlands adorned with greenery and bursting with color: How to make it: A quick online search will show you that there are various ways to assemble balloon garlands. For this signature drink menu, we used 3 Master of Mixes flavors – White Peach, Watermelon, and Old Fashioned – plus Grenadine and Mint Syrup from their Cocktail Essentials line. ;) Dubbed our “Festive Freeze” to match the theme, making a big batch is easy-peasy: • Start with the Master of Mixes Big Bucket Blue Hawaiian Mixer.

A Simple & Festive Cocktail Party Dessert Station // Hostess with the Mostess®

This is why I’m also a big fan of mini dessert stations like this one, and of using a combination of homemade and store-bought treats to bring them to life. Utilizing creative “filler decor” to round out a dessert station and help play up the theme is another favorite tip. For example, a ceramic planter was used to hold the cake forks, pink crystal treat stands added a hint of glam, and accents of greenery brought the garden vibes. Balloons were one of the key decor elements for this theme, so I wanted to carry them right on through to the cake!

Bold & Modern Jungle Safari Birthday Party // Hostess with the Mostess®

The artsy looking paper plates from Harlow & Grey were a big part of my initial inspiration for the general look of this party. (You can also add or swap green Hawaiian Punch for the lemonade, but since our party was the day before St. Patrick’s Day, there wasn’t a jug of green juice to be found at any of the stores I went to! ) This centerpiece is another one of those “simple things” that just makes me soooooo happy, because it’s super easy, yet still feels creative and unique. This was one of my FAVORITE details from the party, and of course I forgot to take a good full picture of it at the party!

"Flamingo Pool Float" Cookie Pudding Cups // Hostess with the Mostess®

If you’re looking for the new star of your flamingo party or pool party dessert table… I have just the thing! These Flamingo Pool Float Pudding Cups are easy to make and guaranteed to delight both kids and kids-at-heart. ;) These are sugar cookies dipped in smooth pink icing and sitting on top of a vanilla pudding snack that’s tinted blue to represent “pool water”
