Let’s talk bathroom design!🛁 Many of you have requested to see some of our secondary bathrooms, so swipe right through the pics to see some of our other bathroom vanities. There’s a video of the master, too! The first pics are of our very modern master bathroom, which has a peaceful, spa-like vibe. The large shower has two shower heads (woohoo), two different tiles- a textured tweed grey tile and dark solid charcoal grey, and a pebble floor-my fave. We added a fun backsplash that ties in the color scheme and grey quartz countertops. Next up is the powder room (quartz tops and mixed subway backsplash), then my daughter’s bathroom (granite countertops), and then my son’s bathroom (same as powder room). I did not get a pic of the casita bath, but it is really pretty basic.;) . We chose to have ALL showers 🚿 instead of bathtubs in all of our bathrooms and have an additional garden tub in the master. There are a total of 5 bathrooms in all. By the end of the design process, I was pretty exhausted and ended up doing the same design for the powder room and my son’s bathroom. Wish I would have had more time! I will be doing an accent wall in the powder room bath at some point! Who else has gone through choosing designs for a new home? It is exciting and can be overwhelming at the same time.🤯 We chose EVERYTHING in the whole house in two days! . By the way, if you’re wondering whether to go granite or quartz, I say granite all the way! 👊🏻 After two years of being in our new home, the granite tops look like brand new and the quartz ones show watermarks all around the faucets, eek! SO happy we went with granite in the kitchen and one of the bathrooms. The quartz looks nice, but I love that granite is a natural stone, each slab is has it’s own unique beauty and it is so easy to take care of. This flower arrangement was inspired by a sweet follower of mine who sent me a DM yesterday.❤️🤍💙 She sent me pictures of a gorgeous flower arrangement that she was making for 4th of July and said that since I always share, she wanted to send me a little something. It was the kindest, sweetest gesture to think of me! And little did she know that it was perfect timing, because I was feeling in a funk about this holiday weekend b/c of the pandemic and hadn’t done anything festive in my home for the 4th! So I decided to head to the store and grab these beautiful red flowers, pop in an American flag, and guess what…? It made me feel happier and my family likes seeing the little festive touch for 4th of July, too! Thank you so much @onelove_lil ! For those of you who are new to my page, we call this area The Conversation Room! It is a modern twist on the traditional sitting room, that nobody ever used haha! We actually use this space quite a bit, especially when we have friends and family over. Located in the middle of our greatroom, it is a focal point of our home. Since everyone has their own chair, it makes it so comfortable, rather than cramming onto a couch. 😉 Each chair swivels and glides and our top priority here was comfort! Because what’s the point of a chair that looks cool, but is hard as a rock? LOL! This area is perfect for a cozy chat around the circle and we have had plenty of laughs and good conversation here!
