Now, I’m sitting in the same seat and thinking to myself how this is going to affect me going forward with planning events now that I am pregnant.
Doing so has allowed me to decrease the stress of some of the job that I would normally do but also will enable me to see where the team is and seeing where we can make overall improvements to move the team forward going forward.
As I progress into the 3rd trimester, there will come a time where I will have to let the team handle the day of things that I am not able to do like being there at the event, standing on my feet the whole time, setting up, breaking down and so on.
For the smaller events, my team can do that without me being there, but for the high stakes events, my presence is needed, so I have to recover quickly so that I can do events up until the point when I go on maternity leave.
