Oh my..just when I think about the things I ve done since I’ve set myself free from my pains, fears and insecurities, and since I’ve freed me from you. I’m dreaming of plunging into water on a hot summer day and taste as much of it as possible. The sight of water doesn’t freak me out and a pool fight doesn’t cause me a panic attack… Days like that, in the sun, in a pool on an island, are what my torn heart aches for…pool fights? I feel like it can be mysterious saying who knows, maybe even enticing, but also at the same time,like so annoying and sad.
I’ve felt what it feels to fall from so high up, you feel like the fall is never ending. I’ve travelled and I’ve dreamed, and I’ve walked and climbed, and learnt to swim, and yet, I feel like I’ve never even begun. What I’m trying to say is that a lot of things that are old, or known to us, can feel so fucking new. And I honestly feel like going away, running away again.
One of the shows I found really interesting (maybe it’s because I also got to sit in the second row!) was Malan Breton’s. This man is a man of many, he is Taiwanese-born, he is based in New York City and besides being a well known fashion designer, he is a film and music video director. The Toronto Fashion incubator (TFI), a non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting and nurturing Canadian fashion designers and creative entrepreneurs, hosted a special evening, ‘Celebration of Canadian Design’ during London Fashion Week this September.
From All Saints to Chanel, linen has been introduced as not only the practical, breathable element that we all need in our lives (thanks God), but as an ultimate summer piece and not necessarily supper affordable. Linen is actually a sustainable material (in this world dominated by fast fashion) and it’s made from flax plant As to how to pair linen pieces for this summer, I love midi neutral or pastel linen And if you think linen is only meant for summer, wait…linen can actually be paired with a lot of warmer pieces in order to feel cozy and still get that natural neutral vibe to your outfit!
