REUNITED! Things have a way of working out! If you read my post yesterday, you know that this little lion was accidentally left at the hotel. After having to replan part of our trip, we returned to the hotel to catch an early morning ferry. Thankfully a few emails to the hotel had them safely store Louie until we returned. He’s been on so many trips with us that we were all a little sad when we thought we might never see him again. 😢 But he’s safely tucked in our bags again! . Fun fact: this is not the first time we’ve left a stuffy in a hotel and had to email them frantically to get it back to us. In 2019 on our trip to Ireland, we had to get a hotel in Cork mail a stuffy back to us in Canada 🤦‍♀️ While I wish I could say this would be the last time, I know I’d be lying! #familytravel #travelwithkids #familytravelblogger #familytravelblog #familytraveller #spain #spaintravel #canaryislands

|Travel Mishaps| They are going to happen. They do happen. Dealing with them isn’t fun, but sometimes they work out… So far on this trip: 1️⃣We changed the start of our trip so abruptly that we missed learning that Seville is one of the most visited places for Holy Week. While fun to experience, it meant what would have otherwise been a very quiet Airbnb left us with very little sleep 😴🙈 2️⃣Our daughter hid our son’s stuffy in the blankets in the hotel room and forgot to tell anyone. We didn’t find out until we were at our next town.😬 3️⃣ While picking up our rental car, we were informed we couldn’t take it on one of the three islands we had planned to visit. Meaning we had to replan an entire 1/3 of our trip 😲😭 4️⃣We saved visiting the natural pools closest to our Airbnb until the last day. Except the winds were so bad, we couldn’t swim in them. 5️⃣We didn’t realize that we needed to book cable car tickets to far in advance. So the only way we could go up the cable car at Tiede national park was with a full guided tour. . . Ok, ok, some are obviously due to poor planning on our part… We are usually on top of things and do an insane amount of research… Guess we need to get back in the rhythm of traveling! It was time! No lie, even with all the traveling we’ve done it felt a little intimidating to get back into international travel. Two years at home has been comfortable. It hasn’t been easy but we know we’ve had it pretty good. But we also knew we wanted to get back to traveling and it felt like time. While all-inclusives aren’t typically our thing, it felt like the perfect time. We played in the sand, ate ALL the food and let the kids have as much pool time as they could ever hope for. We just finalized all the planning and are so excited to share this next amazing place (which will look much more like our typical style of travel). We were upgraded at our arrival - probably because we booked directly with them and not through an intermediary site. It was the second time that we went there but this time with Lucas & Tiago and we loved it TEN TIMES more 😍 it is really a super friendly hotel for children and you can see magic in their eyes 🤩 there are an aquarium 🐠, two large swimming pools 🏊‍♀️ and one with a nice paddling pool, two rooms for breakfast 🥐 but, also and above all, the water park 💦 with three areas dedicated to young children. We expected to find this kind of place all over Dubai but wherever we went next, we were disappointed 🥺. We can say that the Aquadventure Park sets the bar high, it's hard to do better 😍.⁣ ⁣ Paradise for children but also for parents, it is so beautiful 🙈⁣ ⁣ ✨ Have you also had to go to a hotel and then change and regret?
