Clothes matching cocktails + white is the new black

Today I’m featuring a skirt I bought recently to replace a skirt I had that didn’t fit, and a winter top that I bought when it was not winter, so this is the first time I’m wearing it. I bought this top last year when the weather was warming up, so I actually didn’t get to wear it until this year. But I couldn’t sit without it becoming basically indecent, so I scouted for another white skirt. Skirt: Cameo (Window Blues skirt in Ivory – purchased second hand – shop similar Follower skirt by Keepsake)

tiny wins ✨ march 2019

turned off many notifications for my phone bought $400 worth of clothes and actually returned all of it scheduled most of my recent blog posts so I was not trying to write them ten minutes before they were due to be posted started adding events in my calendar for things I need to do and it helped me maintain productivity literally scheduled “Nothing” in my calendar as something to look forward to got a new MacBook at work and named it after the late Stephanie Kwolek, who invented Kevlar figured out how to access files on my VM via macOS without searching the internet for help got to work earlier than usual a couple of times took my old coworker listed some of my designer dresses on eBay and actually got some interest went to the Genius Bar at the Apple Store and they will be fixing the internal keyboard and trackpad issues I have been having The keyboard and trackpad in the laptop became unresponsive when I took it out on the first day of Devcamp. It seemed to have come back after I re-paired my external bluetooth keyboard and trackpad, but when I took it in today the man who helped me out said that he wouldn’t consider it fixed and suggested a repair because this was quite a common problem for my MacBook model.

Spending and saving habits in 2019 so far

and although I try not to spend too much money for travel, it’s ultimately the experiences I save money for to begin with. However, we did buy too much sometimes, and I was definitely guilty of letting too many strawberries rot, buying candy and chocolate that I didn’t eat very quickly, and lots of snacks that I suddenly wanted, but then didn’t eat much of because I realised they were unhealthy. Necessities and replacements: $450 (now at $193.49) * New items (including second-hand items that are new): $450 (now at $133.54) I honestly don’t feel like I’ve bought a lot of items so far, but there were some big spends that blew holes in some of these quotas: At $310, that’s some quality jewellery there, and it’s undoubtedly an accessory.

Hey Girlfriend!: Pariss Athena

I work in tech as a user interface engineer, and I honestly don’t meet a lot of black people in tech. A lot of coloured people in tech – not just black people – are fighting their own fight, but what do you believe the community can do to help you black folks out? It’s important for me to express the urgency in needing more black and brown people in this industry. It’s often daunting, not just for people who are new to coding, but for people who have already been working in the field for quite some time, or have even made a career change like you have.
