S u n b u r n & U p d a t e s💫 . ✨ Hey everyone! I feel like it's been a while since I posted. Just wanted to hop on real quick to give an update. . ✨ I have been busy. I started working the second week of June, I adore my job. But by the end of the day I'm exhausted. (This is why you don't see me around as much/won't see me around as much this summer.) I have been spending my evenings mostly just reading and sometimes sharing on social media. Having hard, but necessary/important conversations (and sometimes writing.) I listen to podcasts or tune into live videos while working on a puzzle every now and then. How are you doing? What have you been up to? . ✨ Today was supposed to be cloudy and rainy. I didn't prepare for the sun when I went out. The results: sunburn 😅 but, despite that today was gorgeous! How's the weather for you guys? . ✨ Small writing update: My writing contest is still open for submissions. Submissions close at the end of the day on June 25th. But life has been crazy, and let me be honest with you...some days I really just don't feel like writing. 🤦‍♂️ But those are the days where I read more, and I'm enjoying that. S o m e t h i n g S p e c i a l💫 . ✨ Two years ago this week I was preparing for graduation, and going through an extremely stressful time in life. Figuring out where to go to college how to pay for it...etc etc. . ✨ Two years ago today, God introduced me to someone who would later become one of the closest friends I've ever had. . ✨ Livvy, I'm so grateful for all of the memories we have made together through these two years, and looking forward to what happens next. . ✨ You have brought so much laughter back into my life. (Especially during this quarantine. I've enjoyed our one phone call every week. And sometimes a spontaneous extra call 🤣😉) . ✨ You have inspired me. You have encouraged me. W h a t i s o n m y d e s k💫 . ✨ Some of you may be wondering, and some of you could probably care less...or maybe some of you are bored and find this entertaining. Whatever the case, here I am to share a little about my writing workspace. . ✨ There are several items on my desk. Some of which are always there, and some that are not. I think the easier/most expected things are the laptop, office supplies and books. So I won't explain those. But here are a few other random things on or in the general vicinity of my desk. . ✨ First before I get into anything else. I as given the wonderful opportunity to receive an early copy of Love Riot by Sara Barratt. It is a wonderful soon to be released Christian nonfiction for teens. Highly recommend!! Launch is on May 5th!! . ✨ The stress ball, for one it's a candy cane, and though I'm actually not a fan of eating candy canes, I LOVE to look at the plastic decorations. Also sometimes writing can be stressful, so the stress ball is a must have in my writing space! . ✨ Louie's paw print. Well as some of you know or have maybe seen in my highlights, Louie was a dog very dear to me. He used to sit or lay beside me while I wrote. And I couldn't think of a better place than to have his paw print sitting on my desk. It's almost like allowing him to still be a part of my writing? ❤️ . ✨ The Erik Estrada/Ponch picture. Is a signed and framed. A memory from when I got to meet him..which still years later feels so unreal to me. (Yes I am a fan of Erik Estrada and the old TV show CHiPs if you didn't know 😂) this is here for inspiration also. . ✨ My Bible of course is here because not only do I do my writing here, but also a majority of my Bible study as well. . ✨ I hope you enjoyed a little peek into my writing work station. It's been a slow day, but it's still early in the night, I have plenty of time to write more. . ✨ I'm playing around with mock covers for Blind Date. C a m p N a N o D a y 2💫 . ✨ It's day two, how's camp going? (For all of those participating) What are your goals? What's your project? . ✨ Because I committed to many other things I didn't set a high word count goal for camp this year. I want to write at least 20k and if I write any more than that I'll be happy. 🙂 . ✨ My main project right now is re-writing Tying Nooses. (This is not my camp project.) My camp project Blind Date is a novel that fits into the same mystery series Tying Nooses is in. Because it's just camp and not the real deal NaNoWriMo, I'm focusing more on getting myself back into the habit of goal setting. Setting my own goals, starting small and then the next camp in July I'll set a higher goal. So when November hits I have some sort of plan figured out.
