One Week Italy Itinerary by Train

If you are looking on exploring some of the top destinations in Italy for a week, then this Itinerary allows you to visit three of the most popular Italian cities: Rome, Florence, and Venice. Two Days in Venice

The Bridge of Sighs is the bridge that connects the Doge’s Palace with the Prison across a small canal. If you want to save the money of entering the Doge’s Palace, then you can tour around the outside, and down over the Ponte della Paglia Bridge to view the Bridge of Sighs down the canal. The St. Mark’s Campanile is the large bell tower found in Piazza San Marco just outside of Saint Mark’s Basilica. While visiting the Doge’s Palace and the St. Mark’s Campanile you will probably have noticed the large ornate church located in the center of it all.

Two Days in Rome

The Temple of Antoninus and Faustina is the most preserved temple in the Roman Forum, but the Pantheon is the most preserved temple of all of Rome. The Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps are only a short walk away from the Pantheon. The Trevi Fountain and Pantheon are only a short walk away from the Spanish steps. Two Days in Florence

Visit the famous statue of Michelangelo, David, and enjoy beautiful views of historic buildings of Italy during a two day trip to Florence. If you are looking to save money, then consider seeing these free David statues: There is a David replica located in Piazza della Signoria amongst all the other statues, and the other in Piazzale Michelangelo with the panoramic views. This bridge is free to visit (unless of course, you purchase something on the bridge). This plaza is a great location for a lunch or dinner break, as there is a large selection of restaurants to relax at and enjoy the view of Palazzo Vecchio, and people watch as people stroll along to the nearby Ponte Vecchio.
