Romantic European Holiday Destinations

This post is an advert, a paid partnership with Jet2. Jet2 asked me to explore their destinations for my favourite romantic getaways

Office Makeover Reveal

You know how much I love colour but working in a yellow room told me that I’d rather have a calm white base and add colour with everything in the room than work in a colour-covered space. Let’s start with the desk, like many things in this room it came from IKEA. It’s where I bring together all of the me things which don’t really feel at home in the rest of the house. The feel of it is so cosy especially when it’s cold outside and there’s often a cat or a child to be found lying on it.

Housewife Confidential

As we were waiting for a friend to arrive at the station we plumped for the touristy Pancakes Amsterdam just across the road from Amsterdam Centraal. The tour took an hour and gave us a great overview of the city as well as lots of local history (can’t express enough how much I love a bit of local history! ) The menu is billed as good food for the soul and had a mix of worthy and delicious food, juices and of course, coffee. But Los Feliz isn’t just beautiful to look at they also serve incredibly good Mexican food.

Riding the Watercress Line with Thomas

We have been tempted onto steam railways all over the country and with The Watercress Line just a few miles outside of Winchester we can step back in time whenever we want. The train pulled out of the station and across the Hampshire countryside with big clouds of steam puffing past the windows. We took a break at Ropley to enjoy some of the Thomas themed crafts and to collect our certificates (such a small thing but just look at Monty’s face! ). I think this makes it a good option for a day out, ride the line in the morning, have lunch and a mooch in Alresford and then return to the trains for more fun.
