Since I didn't follow her instructions, I'm not sure how I will put these into a book yet... If I'm stressed, I usually dream that I need to be going somewhere The hair is embroidered, which I'm not totally in love with I decided to keep the background and stitching simple since the dream was so simple.
It's amazing how moving a tiny piece of fabric can totally change the look. This piece is the result of seemingly random inspiration, involving new friendships, the joy of music (making and listening to), the 1980's and a mixtape. I'm a child of the 80's and laser backgrounds in school pictures were a big deal. The words of the song not only inspired the title of my piece but also inspired me to turn the laser background into a radio tower.
The next room was a huge gymnasium where we swam in the indoor wood lined swimming pool. We're only 2 weeks in and I already feel like the work I've done is too much and not worth it. But I'm going to try my best to have a good attitude about it and find some fun in the process. It reminds me that time keeps marching on and soon enough, I will have survived another January.
The idea is that the "Queen Bee" comes up with the challenge idea and color scheme for her quilt. We have made it once through everyone in the group, so I thought I'd share the blocks I made for each queen. "Scrappy Geese or Goose Poop" @lizthanel Liz gave each of us a color of the rainbow and asked for scrappy blocks that had to contain flying geese. "Tell Me Your Story" - Judy Judy asked for 4 inch blocks with minimal black and white designs or symbols that represent something about your life.
