I went on a work trip to New York, my kittens have grown to unrecognizable sizes, and I’ve been deep into work and my first semester of graduate school as well as planning future travel. I’ve seen some great movies, 1971 and Jojo Rabbit, that I highly recommend and was happy to see Parasite win Best Picture. This weekend, I’m going to the first meeting of my new book club with a girl I met on Bumble BFF (so good for meeting new friends) and we’re going to discuss Agatha Christie’s I’ve also gotten back into walking the trail in my neighborhood and am looking forward to doing that this weekend too.
I’ve been taking a little hiatus from the blog while I balance work and school, and I’ll still be a bit MIA but wanted to pop in to talk about some beauty products I’m loving. I was using The Ordinary’s hemisqualane which is really good since it’s super thin and feels silky, but I ran out and am now using Biossance’s 100% squalane oil. Of all the mascaras I’ve tried, clean or not, this smudges the least for me and it’s clean. It also tastes great, is super clean, and comes with a very useful tube key that I plan on using for all of my tube products!
I took the train up to the West Village and went to a few of my favorite shops like Anine Bing, Goods for the Study, and Follain then had dinner at Antoni Porowski’s restaurant The Village Den. And of course, I walked down Cornelia Street listening to the Taylor Swift song. I wrapped up the night with the best chocolate cake from Mah-Ze-Dar eaten in my bed while watching The West Wing.
I’m so happy to introduce you to my new, eight-week old kittens Miso and Mochi. They’ve been home with us for almost two weeks now and they are the absolute best. Watching them play together during the day, then how cuddly they get afterwards is so incredibly healing. As a side note, I’m taking a hiatus from the blog for a bit this month as I have a lot on my plate with work and starting school.
