What's It Like to Live and Teach in Ghana?

It’s our second time living on the continent of Africa and I feel like our life is only getting easier. On first impressions of life in Ghana: We had the hardest time not comparing West Africa to East Africa: A typical day in my life in Ghana: Teaching at an international school is great! What's Making Me Happy (For Your Weekend)

After spending last weekend away, I’m looking forward to this weekend at home (haircut, grading student essays, organizing my closet), plus tonight I’m going to a cookbook dinner party. The host chooses a favorite cookbook, which is shared with the group (this can be a little tricky–the group can pass around a copy or two or just get recipes from the cookbook author’s website), and each person makes one recipe from the cookbook. I’m working on a big blog post about our trip to Europe and a couple of others about our trailer (see the tour here) and new tips for Napa Valley. My favorite podcasts lately: The Cut on Tuesdays, Pop Culture Happy Hour, and The Art of Simple This workout mix at the gym this morning took me back to age 11 and made my day I‘d love to know what’s making you happy lately.
