But I think I’ve finally come around to dressing in lighter colors and getting some outfits I’m both comfortable in and feel fashionable in. I’ve found a really good shape in pants that I love -the crop wide leg flare pants – and I’m getting them in lighter hues and lighter fabrics. I’m keeping my closet light, neutral and minimal. I’m actually really happy with the pieces I’ve had in my closet and the few pieces I have added!

Plan to park and walk because it’s the only way you are going to be able to see this little historic area of Midtown Atlanta. There is a Hattie B’s in Atlanta and you best believe I went. This historic place is right down the street from the Fox Theatre and if you don’t visit this in Atlanta I feel like I have not done my job in persuading you.

We are officially in to a week and a half of Spring and honestly here in Asheville it hasn’t felt like Spring too much. So I haven’t fully transitioned over to lighter colors for the season (but I wont have too many light colors–more on that Friday) and using pieces that are still going to be in my Spring wardrobe but a little more moody and layered are perfect for these transitional days that we have been having, like yesterday it didn’t get above 43 degrees. Also snake skin print is a huge trend for this season, but I didn’t have to run out and buy anything because I have these western inspired booties in the print that isn’t overwhelming to me personally. I paired both these Spring pieces with a vintage t-shirt and this plaid blazer I am keeping around for the moment since it is light weight but has a little edge to it which I thought brought this whole outfit together.

So you can do the full matchy matchy set but also break the pieces up individually to both get more uses out of each piece but also create a multitude of different looks. When looking for a coordinating set outfit, think about not only how it looks as a whole but also how you can break it up.
