The new Floris London Neroli Voyage EDP (£120, 100ml, florislondon.com, from May 2019) is a beautiful, vibrant, citrus marine fragrance, that was inspired by an expedition Edward Bodenham, Perfumery Director and Floris family member took, tracing the footsteps of his ancestor, Robert Floris. If you just want your fingers and toes given a gel polish, then the Park West Spa in Hamilton has an offer of Gel Polish Hands and Toes for £29. The James Duns House Spa in Glasgow also has a hands and feet deal with a Shellac Two-week Mani and Pedi for £37. At Emma Lou Beauty (In the Papillon Hair Boutique in Glagow), you can indulge in a St Tropez Full Body Spray tan for £17, and have that sunkissed look even before you step off the plane at your destination.
I’ve mentioned the new Clarins Summer Collection in this sunny summer beauty post already, but I’m going to focus on the whole collection again because it’s so good. This summer, there are two new colour harmonies in warm and sunny tones to help to create the perfect, golden glow. Sunset Glow combines three subtle shades – the iridescent bronzers adds warmth, the highlighter gives that luminosity, and the iridescent pink blush helps sculpt cheekbones, and adds a pop of freshness. The powders are made with Light-Optimizing+ Complex that uses soft-focus pigments and pearls to help smooth complexion and revive skin’s natural radiance, and also contain the Clarins Anti-Pollution Complex, with extracts of white tea and nipplewort, and Micropatch Vegetal which forms a network on the skin’s surface to help prevent dehydration.
Bobbi Brown’s Summer Collection for this year is already at John Lewis in an early exclusive – and it’s worth seeking out. I reviewed the new Limited Edition High Shine Liquid Eye Shadow for the Sunny Summer post earlier this week, and it really is something completely different, and a perfect summer product. There is nothing massively new about this collection – the other products aren’t new, other than they are in different packaging, but it’s just so sultry and summery, I love it. The Limited Edition Highlighting Powder is a lovely high-impact, light-reflective powder which gives skin lovely shimmery highlights that make it ideal for strobing.
