Like a perfect dessert… Danielle and Todd built a recipe of crackshot vendors that transformed their wedding day ideas into reality. The venues stark colors, Danielle’s modern bridal look, one-of-a-kind florals contrasted against the soft silks and rich wood tones that mixed perfectly with the overall aesthetic. The only aspect to this wedding that overshadowed the abundance of eye candy was the amount of laughter, ugly crying-happy tears, and heart felt music. Miam Cake // Hair: Holly Hunt Hair // Makeup:
I asked her for a few words when thinking back on her beautiful maternity session with Sara and Ryan, and she sent me an entire blog post! I’m not saying you shouldn’t renovate your house just for an in-home photoshoot, but one or two rooms will do just fine as well! Although Sara and I were hoping for a lake and a few canoes, we found ourselves pretty happy with the landscape, rod iron gates and sloping fields of glittering grass. Another thing I’m grateful for about their shoot is how Ryan and Sara were both into it and we worked together to make the images.
Abby and Dan were walking out of the studio after a great meeting talking all about their plans and they saw Michael’s giant canvas from Colorado on the wall. Getting to know Dan and Abby, while sipping cocktails on Rue Rene Boulanger and marveling at the Parisian way of life was truly a pleasure. I love when couples enter our studio looking for amazing pictures and they leave great friends (and sometimes travel buddies! )
We tell every bride and groom “Make your wedding day your own, make it tell a story of who you are as a couple. Their story was so evident, full of green, natural simplicity, vintage lace, artistic touches, lots of care for their guests and of course a ton of laughter. Beau grew up less than 10 miles from where their wedding was held, the gorgeous Ecker’s Apple Farm, full or fruit and new life. Instead of a unity candle they planted a tree with dirt from each of their homes, their place card holders and wedding gifts were beautiful petite succulents, the apple tree farm gave riding tours of the farm on antique benches and trailers they made themselves.
