Christmas in Carthage: Colorful Lights and Rich History

This historic city is perhaps most famous, however, for the Civil War; the Battle of Carthage was fought here, and some of the homes in the city date back to the 1870s when the residents rebuilt after the war. The Way of Salvation Drive-Through Light Display Built and hosted by the Congregation of the Mother of the Redeemer, this awesome drive-thought light display depicts scenes from the Old Testament through the birth of Christ, all from the comfort of your car. The home is built from stone and marble from the area, and his influence enabled the capitol building in Jefferson City to be built from marble in Carthage. If you do come to Carthage to see the Way of Salvation light display, I hope you do take some time to explore the rest of the city.

6 Reasons Disney's Boardwalk Inn is my Favorite Epcot-Area Resort

If you’re looking for a Walt Disney World resort that has easy access to Epcot, you really can’t go wrong with Disney’s Boardwalk Inn. Our family’s favorite resort overall is Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Disney’s Boardwalk Inn and The Beach Club are the closest resorts to the International Gateway entrance that will put you right between the UK and France in the countries of World Showcase. I hope I’ve made a case as to why Disney’s Boardwalk Inn is a great choice for anyone who wants to spend time at Epcot.

Stay in a Cabin at the KOA Campground in Moab, Utah

The KOA Campground at Moab was the perfect place for us. If you have an RV or a tent, you’ll also have a great time at the KOA Campground in Moab, Utah. The KOA at Moab boasts the largest pool in the area, and I wouldn’t doubt it. We had such a great time at the KOA Campground in Moab, Utah.

Arches National Park and Our Delicate Arch Fail

When we planned our road trip throughout the Southwest and up through Utah, I knew we had to stop at Arches National Park near Moab. I’d read blog posts and seen wonderful pictures, especially of Delicate Arch, that most famous of arches that is even pictured on the Utah license plate. Before I go into our Delicate Arch fail, I’d love to show you some pictures from the sunset of the second evening. Even though our hike to Delicate Arch was a fail, Arches National Park remains one of my favorite experiences in my life.
